We are in possession of all the original books in the original holder including the stamped service book, showing VW main dealer or specialist services with supporting invoices. The DSG and Haldex oil was changed at the last service in December 2020.
Mechanical Condition
The car has no mechanical issues as you might expect of a VW with low mileage. The DSG gearbox changes gear cleanly and the car pulls hard throughout the rev range. The all-wheel drive system works well with outstanding grip even in adverse weather conditions. There are no nasty noises or knocks from the suspension and the brakes haul the car to a quick stop if required. All in all, a car that is comfortable and safe whilst having more than ample performance to enjoy when you want to.
Exterior Condition
The paintwork is in great condition that provides a deep lustre and looks very subtle in the rare midnight blue. The factory finished alloy wheels are in good, unrestored condition with only a few marks and all wearing Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. The bodywork is free from damage, all panel gaps are correct and has no scrapes on the bumper corners. Close inspection will reveal some minor marks commensurate with age but overall, this an extremely sharp looking car that anyone would be proud to own.
Interior Condition
The interior is in great condition with the leather seats wearing extremely well. All electrics work without exception and all warning lights go out as they should. The interior fittings are free from squeaks and rattles. Being a highly optioned car, it is a very comfortable place to be with particular highlights being the panoramic sunroof and the excellent Dynaudio hifi system.
Summary
This is an exceptionally well specified Golf R finished in an unusual colour meaning it stands out from others on the market.
