Supplied new by Williams Landrover, Hulme in January 2012, this car would have had a list cost of over £80,000.  It was serviced by the dealer network until 2016 when it was then taken over by specialists as evidenced in the original service book.   We are in possession of the full book pack along with numerous invoices for services and parts.

The car was previously owned by an enthusiast, and the work that he carried out is documented on the FFRR forum, including:

Tailgate, chassis and subframes treated internally against rust in 2022.
Front Drop Links replaced May 2022
Front and rear brake pads and park brake shoes replaced May 2022
Front and rear Differential and Transfer Box oils changed May 2022
    Diesel Filter replaced May 2022
Main Battery replaced March 2023 (AGM battery)
    DPF chemically cleaned March 2023
Oil Cooler Seals and the Turbo Return Pipe o-ring seals replaced March 2023
EGR Cooler Hose O-ring replaced March 2003
    Air Filters replaced April 2023
Secondary Battery installed in the boot replaced May 2023 (AGM)
Oil and Filter change April 2023 (Oil and Filter has been changed every 5k to 6k miles since 2020)
Coolant Tank and OAT Coolant replaced May 2023
Thermostat replaced due to it being stuck closed May 2023

Notably, we have spent well over £3k in the last couple of months refreshing the suspension arms and associated parts using high quality Meyle parts, with a full alignment.  The car has also benefited from new arch lips and sill ends addressing a key weakness on L322s.   An oil change less than 500 miles ago completes the work.

    Mechanical Condition
The car starts fine and settles to a gentle but purposeful idle.   Moving off, you instantly appreciate how good the 8-speed gearbox is, and the car just wafts along with barely a murmur.  If you want to press on, the car really can shift for car weighing close to 3 tonnes but remarkably will return high 30’s mpg if driven sensibly.  The TDV8 L322 is a powerhouse when it comes to towing as well, having at 3.5 tonne rating and you barely notice it’s towing.   The car was used to travel across Europe regularly which is the right use for these cars, rather than being confined to city driving.  With all the recent expenditure it really does drive beautifully.

    Exterior Condition
The paintwork is in generally good condition and presents well from a distance. all panel gaps are even with the original seam sealer in place, indicating an accident-free car.  Closer inspection will reveal some bubbling on the tailgate (common but has not got worse in 2 years) and some paint defects on the front bumper but it still manages to look smart, unlike many L322s that have been neglected.   The wheels are in decent condition but not perfect, and are shod with Pirelli Scorpion tyres all round with decent tread – also in the favoured 55 profile to give a smoother ride.

    Interior Condition
The interior of the car is in lovely condition only showing minor wear on the bolster and some marks on door cards.  The genuine rubber mats are a godsend, easily removed and washed to keep it looking smart.  All the electrics work without exception and there are no warning lights on the dash.  The AC blows cold, as do the ventilated seats and the HK Logic 7 sounds system really makes for a pleasant environment to be in.

    Summary
This is a lovely, well specified Vogue SE, second only to the Autobiography – don’t be fooled by the runout 2012 Westminsters, which apart from the HD sound system are generally just base spec Vogues.

L322s, and in particular TDV8 4.4s, are very special cars but buying the wrong one has the potential to be financially ruinous.  We are confident that this is one of the mechanically best TDV 4.4s around and whilst there are many cheaper cars to be bought, cars like this that have had significant recent expense and had known issues addressed will rightly command a premium.

The car will come with a comprehensive 6-month warranty and p/x is available.  Please feel free to ask any questions.
