Supplied new by Lloyd Mini, Colne in March 2008, the car was first serviced by the supplying dealer and then by independents as evidenced by 9 stamps in the in the original service book, with the last service being carried out by a Mini specialist in Feb 2025, less than 1500 miles ago. We are in possession of the full book pack along with some invoices for services and old MOT certificates.
Mechanical Condition
The car starts fine and settles to a steady idle. Moving off, you can tell that this is a Cooper S as it feels nice and lively, the autobox suiting the torquey nature of the engine surprisingly well. If you want to press on, you can use the steering wheel mounted paddles, but really this car is more about cruising in the sun. There is some scuttle-shake as you’d expect on a convertible of this type, but there are no untoward knocks from the suspension and the car overall drives very well.
Exterior Condition
The paintwork is in really nice condition and holds a nice deep shine. All panel gaps are even with the original seam sealer in place, indicating an accident-free car. Closer inspection will reveal some minor blemishes, but certainly this is a very smart car all round. The wheels are in good condition but not perfect and are shod with Falken tyres round with a decent amount of remaining tread.
Interior Condition
The interior of the car is equally good condition only showing minor marks on the leather and some marks on door cards. All the electrics work without exception and there are no warning lights on the dash.
Summary
There are typically 4-5 Sidewalk Cooper S on sale at any given time, but it is very rare to see a green one come up for sale, which complements the malt brown interior so well. Even rarer still, fitted with the steptronic gearbox, meaning all you need to concentrate on is looking good!
