Mechanical Condition
The car starts on the button and quickly settles to an even idle. The clutch and gearchange are light and positive. On the move, the car pulls cleanly through the rev range providing eager performance in all gears. The car handles and pulls up well and is characteristic of its very low mileage in the way it drives and is great fun to drive either with the roof down or up.
Exterior Condition
The paintwork is in great condition with a highly reflective surface that is contrasted with the red Viper stripes and mirror caps. The car is free from ‘supermarket’ dings and has no scrapes on the bumper corners. All panel gaps are consistent, and all factory welds and sealer are in place indicating an accident-free car. The wheels are in excellent condition, and they are shod with a combination of Continental and General tyres – two are brand new and the others have >6mm tread. The hood is in fantastic condition with no discernible wear. Closer inspection will reveal some minor scuffs on the plastic and some stone chipping but overall this is a striking looking car that anyone would be proud to own.
Interior Condition
The interior is in great condition with the expensive lounge leather seats carrying on the JCW theme with the red piping. All electrics work without exception and all warning lights go out as they should. The hood goes up and down smoothly and quickly, also having the great feature of being able to fold back the front alone to act as a sunroof if you prefer.
Summary
This is a very striking example of a Cooper S convertible which looks great with its JCW looks and contrasting grey and red livery.
