Supplied new by MINI Knights South, Staffs in July 2012, the car was serviced by the supplying dealer until 2017. Once passed to its second owner, It then carried on in the dealer network, passing through Rybrook Worcester and Westerly Bridgewater. When the 3rd owner, Mrs H, obtained the car, she had continued with the main dealer servicing with an inspection and oil change carried out by Vines Guildford in July 2020. We have recently had the brake fluid changed at Chandlers Brighton. We are in possession of all the original books in the original holder including the stamped service book and some invoices. The car has a fresh MOT with no advisories so is ready to go.
Mechanical Condition
The car starts on the button and quickly settles to an even idle. Selecting drive and moving off, the car has an eager nature about it and it soon becomes clear that the steptronic gearbox really suits it well. More than some other automatic cars we have driven, you feel more inclined to use the paddles to enjoy the ‘go kart’ experience, but the box is equally happy if left in drive and anticipates the required gear well. Being such a low mileage car, it obviously drives very well indeed, turning in and pulling up crisply.
Exterior Condition
The paintwork is in great condition, with a highly reflective surface which is broken up nicely by the black Viper stripes. There are no ‘supermarket’ dings or any scuffs on the bumpers. All panel gaps are consistent, and all factory welds and sealer are in place indicating an accident-free car. The tyres are a combination of two premium brands, with Dunlop SP Sport on the front, the rears wearing Pirelli P Zero. The wheels are in excellent condition, with no kerbing at all and the black gloss finish holding a nice shine. There are some surface scratches on the vinyl stripes around the boot area but generally this is a very smart car that anyone would be proud to own.
Interior Condition
The interior is in fantastic condition with the ivory lounge leather seats being particularly striking – they really brighten up the interior. Additionally, the panoramic roof adds light into the interior making it feel very airy and comfortable. All electrics work without fail and all warning lights go out as they should. All in all, a very pleasant environment to be in.
Summary
This is a lovely example of a Cooper S that has been optioned very nicely to make it stand out from the crowd. Also coming with the automatic gearbox, this is quite an unusual car which presents well against others in the market. Please do not hesitate to enquire if further details are required.
