Supplied new by Dagenham Motors, Mr N. collected his new car on 1/9/2013 and has been the sole owner since. This was the owners’ pride and joy, looking after the car fastidiously and always having it serviced annually at the supplying Ford dealer. We are in possession of all the original books in the original holder including the stamped service book, numerous invoices for work carried out and the original bill of sale showing a sale price of £25519. The car has a fresh MOT with no advisories so is ready to go.
Mechanical Condition
The car starts on the button and settles quickly to a nice idle. Moving off, the clutch and gearbox both have a positive and clean action. Once on the move, the engine pulls surprisingly hard in all gears, with a piped induction noise that is reminiscent of older carburettor equipped cars. The steering is very quick and responds well to the minimum of inputs – the downside being a somewhat compromised turning circle, but a small price to pay. The suspension and brakes are both in fine fettle and this certainly feels like a well-maintained car to drive.
Exterior Condition
The paintwork is in great condition, with a deep shine to the strong red bodywork. There are no ‘supermarket’ dings or any scuffs on the bumpers. All panel gaps are consistent and all factory welds and sealer are in place indicating an accident free car. There is the odd stone chip as you might expect on a performance car of this age, but nothing really that detracts from the overall appearance. Tyres are a full matching set of Goodyear Eagle F1’s, with the fronts having covered only a few hundred miles and the rears with >5mm. The wheels are in very good condition, with only one having a slight graze and all of them showing minor paintwork fade between the spokes. Generally, an exceptionally smart example that anyone would be proud to own.
Interior Condition
The interior is in fantastic condition with the leather seats holding up particularly well – and they are amongst the most comfortable around. Everything works without fail and all warning lights go out as they should. The sound system carries a decent punch for a factory system and the reversing camera is a useful & welcome driver aid. All in all, a very pleasant environment to be in.
Summary
This is a great example of the ST Focus and stands out in being particularly well specified, never modified and having only had one conscientious owner. Please do not hesitate to enquire if further details are required.
