Supplied new by Chandlers in Brighton, Mr H. took collection of his new car which had been pre-registered by Chandlers in February 2019 and it was sold with 168 miles showing on the odometer. Mr. H is a long-standing client of ours and we have bought numerous cars from him, all with low mileage and in impeccable condition – the M240i is no different. We actually bought the car with 1800 miles, the additional >3000 miles being carried out by us over the last few months, and what an enjoyable few months it has been. Servicing has all been carried out by the supplying dealer and is up to date. Additionally, the car has had its first MOT in January, passing with no advisories. Next service/inspection is not due until January 2023 or 16000 miles, whichever comes soonest.
Mechanical Condition
The car starts without hesitation and settles to an initial sporty exhaust note which then quietens as the exhaust flaps close. Suffice to say, after setting off it drives like a new car with absolutely no faults, quirks, knocks or funny noises. Simply, it is mechanically perfect.
Exterior Condition
The paintwork is in superb condition, and really comes to life when the sun catches the lovely pearl colour of Mineral White (much more appealing than the Alpine White). This is an accident-free car with original paint and there are only a handful small stone chips on the front bumper area. The wheels are in equally fantastic condition with their factory finish, again only the slightest nick on one front wheel. The tyres are matching factory fitment Michelin Pilot Super Sports, all with 5mm or more of remaining tread. It is unlikely that you will find a better looked after and prepared example.
Interior Condition
As expected, the condition of the interior follows the same narrative as the mechanical/exterior – it shows no wear or damage and is as new. Everything works, all lights go out as they should. The rare options of electric seats and cruise control are very welcome additions as is the more common Harmon Kardon sound system. This is an exceptionally pleasant place to be, either for a short drive or longer journeys.
Summary
The M240i is a sought-after car, and whilst not particularly rare, this example stands out against the competition due to its high specification, low mileage and outstanding condition.
